Why I Dislike The Term: Potterhead

The Harry Potter books have been a very important part of life, since childhood. Yet I’ve always hated the official terminology given to people who also love the book and movie series. It may seem childish and immature of me but it kinda gives it a bad name. I won’t go into too much detail but I could have settled with a different title. To me, the name just doesn’t rub in the right places where I want to formally be one. All the while knowing, I am every little bit of one. So it’s a weird place to be in for a fan. I know what house I’m in, which is Hufflepuff. I have more than one copy of some of the books. I’ve been to Harry Potter World at Universal Studios. If the movies are playing on tv, don’t tell me anything important because I am not in the mood. I don’t think JK Rowling is always a queen no matter of what kind of writer she is. I mean stop releasing new information about one of my favorite thing please! Etc. Etc. Is it just a Kimberly Anne thing? Or is it a fan thing? On wheather Potterhead works to describe a person who loves them. How did this get decided to have it be official because I didn’t get a weigh in. Oh I just did a rough Google search for the topic and discovered Pottermania. Yes, I like that one.

Anyways, it may be an unpopular opinion but just shedding some light on the matter.
